THE 30 ARTICLES EXHIBITION

I've seen the disparity between the ideals expressed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the suffering people endure. The UDHR endures as one of humanity's greatest achievements. The 30 Articles Exhibition includes thirty 4 x 4 foot engraved hand-painted images on dry-erase board. With each, I've juxtaposed an image with a first-hand story and one of the thirty articles from the UDHR. This juxtaposition draws attention to our ideals and the goodness to which we aspire while showing much work remains. The IMAGES are bright, graphic, large, and bold. The STORIES are heartbreaking, emotional, real, and shocking. The ARTICLES are powerful, inspiring, impactful, and aspirational. I believe art has the power to sway emotions. I believe art can inspire action. I believe inspired action disrupts the status quo.
